Dennis

Dennis is the second born in a family with eight children. Life hasn’t been easy at home as both parents are HIV positive and his mother suffers from severe depression. When they are late in taking her for her monthly injection, she becomes very hostile. When Dennis wonders why God made him to be part of such a family, Josephine reminds him that it is ministry.

Because his situation at home was so intense and since he was a good student, Dennis attended a boarding school so that he could concentrate on his studies. After graduation he enrolled in a plumbing course. Although he has not yet completed it, Hope for Life alumni who took the same course give him small jobs. With money earned he buys medicine for his mother’s chronic malaria and depression.

Dennis leads the Battalion for boys in church and demonstrates strong leadership skills.
