Gideon

Gideon lived with parents who fought all the time. His elder brother lived with his grandparents so Gideon had to take on the role of firstborn. One time when he saw his father strangle his mother, all Gideon could do was throw a cup of water at his father. When his father kicked him, Gideon passed out. After that he frequently had headaches.

But through Hope for Life his family have all met Jesus and have radically changed. His parents work at Hope for Life and are very active leaders in their church.

After high school, Gideon completed the electronics course at Hope for Life, did practical work through a government vocational school, passed his qualifying exams, and now gets temporary work at Kenya Power. He was able to pay school fees for his sister and she has now graduated.
